City set for gay pride festival
Oxford Pride 2003
Organisers are hoping to attract twice as many as last year's party
Permission has been granted for a gay pride festival to take place in Oxford in the spring.

Last year was the first time the event had been organised in the city.

About 2,000 attended the festival in Oxpens park and organisers are hoping to attract twice that number to this year's event on May Day.

The Gay Pride team is looking for local companies to support the festival to help with the estimated 20,000 costs.
