Public urged to 'rat' on dealers
Residents in Nottingham are being urged to "rat on a rat" in a campaign to turn in drug dealers.

Police will be putting up posters and handing out leaflets in a bit to tackle the problem of street drug dealing.

If people want to share information with the police, they can call a free, anonymous hotline to give details of drug dealers in the area.

In addition, police will work with local organisations to divert drug users into treatment programmes.

Ch Insp Colin Martin from Nottinghamshire Police said: "Getting these people off the streets is only part of the solution.

"It's just as important to stop people using drugs and by working with our partners we can help offenders do that through intervention."
