Junior Andrews (left) and Mark Kelly were sentenced to 32 years each |
Two men jailed for the murder of Nottingham teenager Danielle Beccan are to appeal against their convictions and sentences, the BBC has learnt. Junior Andrews, 20, and Mark Kelly, 24, were found guilty at Birmingham Crown Court two months ago.
The 14-year-old died in a drive-by shooting as she walked home from a fair in Nottingham in October 2004.
Kelly, of The Meadows, Nottingham and Junior Andrews, of no fixed address, had both denied murder.
Both men were convicted by majority verdicts of 10 to 2 and given life sentences.
Under the terms of the sentence, they will both serve a minimum of 32 years in jail.
A spokesman for the Court of Appeal confirmed the two men had both lodged requests for appeals.
A judge will decide whether the Court of Appeal should review their cases.
