Faith and prayer help Paula Platt cope after her daughter's death

The mother of tragic teenager Danielle Beccan - shot dead six months ago - has spoken of how faith has helped her.

Paula Platt, and Danielle's stepfather Robert were baptised at the King's Hall Christian Centre, St Ann's, Nottingham, and are now regular worshippers.

Ms Platt said her faith has given her something positive to hold onto.

She said her family was "stronger" since the tragedy, adding: "We are closer and are spending more quality time than we did before."

Danielle, 14, was shot dead as she walked home with friends from the Goose Fair on 9 October.

Two men are due to stand trial in September charged with murder.
