Dozens of warnings to quad bikers
More than 70 warning notices have been issued in one town by Notts Police in a crackdown on nuisance bikers.

It follows the launch of an operation to tackle a rise in the number of quad bikes, scooters and go-peds ridden in residential areas of Worksop.

Cameras have been used to identify vehicles and those riders who have ignored police warnings and continue to cause a nuisance.

Over a three-month period seven people were arrested and 73 warnings issued.

If the notices are ignored, police can seize the vehicles.

Operation Elaborate was launched to target hotspots with patrol teams in the Kilton Showground and Manton areas.

Officers say there are plans to create a secure site for off-road bikers, but warn they will continue to crack down on offenders.
