Delayed pupils head back to class
Fire crews at Wheldon School
Crews tackled the fire in December 2002
Some pupils at a Nottingham school wrecked by fire are to resume classes on Monday, almost a week after the start of term.

Delays in building work at the Wheldon School in Carlton meant Year Nine pupils had to stay away for longer than other age groups.

Younger students in years seven and eight are also still off on an extended break after repairs overran.

They are now set to return to lessons on Friday.

Pupils and staff have been housed in temporary buildings since an arson attack on the school in December 2002, with the new buildings set to be completed in September.
