Two trams involved in near miss
Two trams have avoided collision after they ended up travelling towards each other on the same stretch of track.

Nottingham Express Transit is looking into how the trams came to within 60 metres of each other.

It happened on the Hucknall stretch of track near Butlers Hill Station at 1500 GMT on Saturday.

The service opened to passengers just four days before.

Spokesman Colin Lea said: "Certainly two trams did meet each other on the line between Butlers Hill and Moor Bridge.

"And that's not what we want to see happening, so an investigation has been launched into that."
