Groups threatened with closure under the Tory-led council's proposals won injunctions to prevent a decision being made on Thursday.

They said plans to keep the council tax increase at 3% means the county's most vulnerable people would be affected.

Injunctions granted in three cases brought by 85 individuals prevented budget discussions by councillors.

Any decisions will now have to be taken at a later date.

More than 100 people, many from youth services and organisations representing disabled people, protested outside County Hall ahead of Thursday's stalled budget meeting.
