Road targeted after fatal crashes
A six-mile stretch of road in east Northants has been targeted after being the site of several fatal collisions.

Speed checks and special patrols are taking place on the B645, from Higham Ferrers to Chelveston road, in an attempt to slow down traffic.

The road has seen ten collisions over three years, including three fatalities and four accidents with serious injuries.

The B645 is a popular motorcycle route for leisure bike riders.

Pc John Spencer of Northamptonshire Police said: "There's a high propensity of smaller vehicles, cars and bikes, using it at high speeds, as well as huge proportions of cars and bikes that are exceeding the posted speed limits and that's a huge problem."
