Motorcyclist killed in collision
A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car in Cambridgeshire.

The incident took place at about 1920 BST on Tuesday on the B645 near Great Staughton.

A blue Honda motorcycle, which was travelling towards Great Staughton, collided head on with a silver Peugeot 406 just after a left hand bend.

Police said the 36-year-old motorcycle rider, who was from Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon but died from his injuries.

The driver of the car, a 40-year-old woman from Waltham Abbey in Essex, suffered shock and bruising.

Two 15-year-old boys, both from Essex, who were passengers in her vehicle, also escaped serious injury.

Pc Pete Simpson from Cambridgeshire Police said: "The motorbike was travelling with three others and we would appeal to anyone who saw them or the Peugeot in the moments leading up to the crash to contact us."

The road was closed for almost six hours while the emergency services dealt with the accident.
