Under the order Carroll must submit to twice weekly drug tests

Michael Carroll, 21, of Swaffham, Norfolk, was told that he was being given his "last chance" by a district judge sitting at Swaffham magistrates.

In March, Carroll was ordered to complete a drug treatment order after he admitted possessing cocaine.

But on Tuesday he admitted breaching the terms of that order.

Probation officer Paul East told the court that Carroll had failed to attend half of his scheduled appointments since the order was imposed.

Mr East told District Judge Jennifer Edwards: "It must be made clear we cannot accept any more unacceptable absences."

Miss Edwards told Carroll that if he continued to fail to co-operate he could "look forward to a custodial sentence".

She added: "This is your last chance. It is up to you whether you take it."

Under the terms of the order Carroll must submit to twice weekly drug tests.

The court was told that he had been tested once since March and the result was negative.

Miss Edwards ordered Carroll to return to court on 6 July so that his progress could be reviewed.
