Mr Roberts has streaked more than 300 times |
Police have failed in their bid to get a 42-year-old serial streaker banned from the Grand National. Merseyside Police feared that Mark Roberts, from Liverpool, could attempt to bare all at Saturday's big race at Aintree for the third time.
But the force failed in its application for an interim anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) to ban him from Aintree.
Mr Roberts is opposing an application by police for a full Asbo to ban him from all public events.
The serial streaker said he had no intention of streaking at Aintree this year.

He said: "I'm opposing the Asbo because I don't believe that what I do is anti-social, or causes distress to anyone.
"The interim application was unnecessary because I'm not going to Aintree this year anyway, and I've told the police that several times."
The interim order, which would have banned him from the Aintree course during the Grand National, was refused in a hearing at Wirral Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
The case has been adjourned until 11 May.
Mr Roberts' previous Grand National streaks took place in 1996, when he wore nothing more than a cowboy hat and false moustache, and in 1999.
He has also streaked at more than 300 public events including The Open golf tournament, the US Superbowl and Wimbledon Championships.
