Culture bus has ticket to paint
Liver building
The city is gearing up for Capital of Culture year in 2008
A double-decker bus which aims to get Liverpool culture projects on the road, is to provide a blank canvas for budding artists.

Residents are being given the chance to help decorate the bus, which will take to the streets in the spring.

It will feature an information area and exhibition space, and will be in the community in the lead up to the city's year as Capital of Culture in 2008.

Workshops are being held this month for the bus artwork.

Councillor Warren Bradley, Liverpool city council leader, said: "We're really keen to get the people of the city involved with plans for the touring bus."

The first sessions will be held in Speke on 16 January and 18 January at the Central Library.
