Work from the Tate's National Collection of Modern Art is on show

The modern art gallery, situated on the Albert Dock, is England's most visited outside London bringing in about 600,000 art lovers every year.

It exhibits work from the Tate's National Collection of Modern Art.

The 10 millionth visitor will be given the VIP treatment and will receive a guided tour, a meal in the Tate cafe and free gifts from the gallery shop.

'Proud moment'

Gallery director Christoph Grunenberg and executive director Andrea Nixon will be at the gallery to greet their special guest on Wednesday.

Mr Grunenberg said: "Welcoming the 10 millionth visitor is a proud moment for the gallery.

"We are delighted to be providing the quality of exhibitions, and levels of service, that visitors come back to time and time again.

"Tate Liverpool is now confirming its position as a world-class gallery for the city of Liverpool."
