Police investigating a woman's murder in Greater Manchester say people must not approach a man they want to find.
The badly burnt body of Clare Wood was found in the bedroom of her house on St Simon Street in Blackfriars, Salford, at about 1230 GMT on Friday.
CCTV footage of George Appleton, taken outside his house in nearby Adelphi Court on Thursday, has been released.
Detectives want to hear from women who have made contact with Mr Appleton over dating and social networking websites.
The CCTV shows Mr Appleton wearing tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down them, white Reebok trainers, a dark coloured puffer jacket and a woolly hat with brown, red and purple stripes.
Police want to trace George Appleton over the death of Clare Wood
Police believe he drives a red Ford Escort estate registration N554 HYG.
He is thought to have links to the Warrington area, Leicestershire and Gloucestershire as well as the travelling community, and has worked on fairground sites.
Supt Ian Palmer, from Greater Manchester Police, said: "We have reason to believe that whoever killed Clare Wood is a dangerous individual, and we want to reassure people that as we speak we are using absolutely every tool at our disposal to find them.
"We are issuing this appeal because Appleton is key to this inquiry and we really need to speak to him."
