Body found after possible blaze

A woman has been found dead at a house in Salford, police have said.

The woman was found at the property on St Simons Street in Blackfriars just after 1200 GMT.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were at the scene. A fire officer is assisting as it is believed there may have been a fire at the house.

The house has been cordoned off while investigations are under way. Police have not said whether the death is being treated as suspicious.
