Up to 3,000 Millwall fans travelled to Hungary for the match |
One of two Millwall fans stabbed during the Uefa cup tie in Budapest has flown back home. He was released from hospital and reunited with his family on Saturday evening.
Millwall's security adviser Ken Chapman told BBC London the second victim was expected to be released from hospital at the end of the week.
Two others, less seriously injured in clashes during the 3-1 defeat by Ferencvaros, have left hospital.
Rival supporters
Mr Chapman said the second victim had had another operation on Saturday and was expected to return home on Thursday or Friday.
The Foreign Office said on Friday two of nine fans arrested during violence in the city centre were being held.
Up to 3,000 Millwall fans were in Hungary for the Uefa Cup first round second leg match, police said.
In the most serious incident, in one of Budapest's main squares, rival supporters fought and shop windows were broken.
There were also reports of trouble inside the ground in the build-up to Middlesbrough's away game at Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic.
