Hospital plan set to be approved
Health chiefs expect to finally be given the go-ahead for a long-awaited new hospital in Lincs on Tuesday.

Land in Spalding Road, Pinchbeck, has been earmarked for the multi-million pound facility. It should open in 2008.

It was identified last year as the most likely position for a new community hospital and ambulance station.

The centre is expected to house a minor injuries unit, physiotherapy, community nursing facilities and services for people with mental health problems.

A special meeting of South Holland District Council's development control committee is being recommended to grant planning permission.
