Site for new hospital announced
A site has been found for a new hospital in Lincolnshire.

A nine-acre site on Spalding Road in Pinchbeck has been earmarked subject to planning permission.

The new hospital, which follows a long campaign for facilities for people living in the area, is being built under the Private Finance Initiative.

The hospital, scheduled to be completed in late 2007, will include a minor injuries unit, community nursing facilities and physiotherapy wards.

Occupational therapy will also be available to patients and an ambulance station will be built on the site.

And there will be services for adults and elderly people who are suffering mental health problems.

The plans will go on show at the South Holland Centre in Spalding next week.
