Wind farms can have a dramatic affect on the skyline |
Plans to build a wind farm with 11 turbines near Gainsborough in Lincolnshire are to be put to the public.
They are the latest in series of proposals for wind farms across Lincolnshire.
The Ipswich-based company Your Energy says it is looking at farmland to the east of the A159 between Blyton and Laughton.
The turbines will be 60-metres high and would power up to 12,500 homes in the area, the company said.
Your Energy's senior development manager, John Fairley, said a number of exhibitions about the plans would go on display.
"This is actually the beginning of the consultation, we don't actually have any firm proposals yet.
"We have been looking at the site for quite some time and talking to local planners about the possibility.
"But really we want to find out what people think, which is why we are bringing in the exhibition unit right at the beginning."
