Police to target airport 'crime'
Police are aiming to cut car crime and theft at Nottingham East Midlands Airport in a co-ordinated campaign.

Police from Leics, Derbys and Notts will hand out more than 7,000 security packs during the initiative.

Crime and disorder reduction partnerships covering North West Leics, Broxtowe and Rushcliffe are also involved in the campaign.

The packs aim to provide reassurance in four key areas - burglary, vehicle crime, theft and airport security.

The airport, located at Castle Donington, Leicestershire, has more than 250 employees at its main terminal but nearly 7,000 people work in and around the site.

The project is partly funded by delivery firm DHL and Nottingham East Midlands Airport.
