Police to tackle rowdy behaviour
Police in parts of south Leicestershire are getting new powers to deal with large groups of youths causing trouble.

The move follows growing complaints from residents in some areas who say they are being intimidated.

Officers in Enderby, Whetstone, Glen Parva, Narborough and Blaby will be able to use the dispersal powers starting on 1 January.

They will be able to break up groups of people who are causing trouble, and ban them from returning within 24 hours.

Police say the powers are being introduced because they have received a flood of complaints about anti-social behaviour in these areas.
