Dozens were fined in a clampdown on drinking problems.
Leicestershire Police have fined 120 people for anti-social behaviour in a summer crackdown on alcohol-related crime in the county.

During July and August, 120 people were issued with on-the-spot fines for harassment or being drunk and disorderly.

Some 335 people were banned from areas for 24 hours under dispersal powers.

Figures from Operation Lion show serious assaults halved, when compared with the period before the operation.

The six-week operation has ended, but officers are keen to reassure people the Leicestershire force is committed to continue tackling these crimes.
