Sex attacker preyed on girls
A sex offender has been jailed for nearly 10 years for enticing girls to his house before indecently assaulting them.

Paul Jones, from Morecambe, plied them with drink and drugs, Preston Crown Court was told on Friday.

Jones, 46, was described as a "dangerous and manipulative man" who preyed on children.

The court also heard Jones had already served a prison sentence for molesting a 15-year-old girl, and was moved to Morecambe on his release.

Judge Peter Smith told Jones, of Clarendon Road, the drink and drugs "were used to make his victims less inhibited" and said he was a "danger to young girls".

Jones was convicted on eight charges of child indecency and five of indecent assault and jailed for nine-and-a-half years. He will be held on the sex offenders' register for life.

He was also banned from working with children and from having contact with any unaccompanied child under 16.
