Drugs den closed down by police
A closure notice has been served on a drugs den in Kent after neighbours complained of anti-social behaviour.

The den in Sunningdale Court, Maidstone, was shut down by officers from Kent Police working alongside the Maidstone Housing Trust.

Six people were found inside the property at the time, along with cocaine, cannabis and heroin.

One woman was cautioned for possession of drugs, and a man was charged with a drug offence and handling stolen goods.

The remaining four people - two men and two women - were told to leave the premises and that they would face arrest if they returned.

Director of housing at the trust, Mark Barnes, said the drug-related activities carried out at the property had "caused considerable distress and disturbance" to other tenants in the block.
