A house in Derby that was being used by drug dealers and users has been boarded up by police. The property on Balfour Road in Peartree was sealed up on Thursday and is the second to be closed in the city.
A quantity of suspected crack cocaine was recovered and two people were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
The 25-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were both bailed pending further inquiries after the raid on Tuesday.
Boarded up
Pc Donna Brittain said: "Drugs and the nuisance that comes with it won't be tolerated.
"We will use the legislation again, it's the second house that we've actually closed.
"Obviously the legislation is there to be used and if houses do come under the order then it will be used again."
Officers are targeting premises suspected of being used for the dealing and taking of Class A drugs as part of Operation Crackdown, a three-month campaign.
The house was boarded up after an application to close the premises for three months under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 was approved by South Derbyshire magistrates.
