Police raid targets 'drug house'
Police have served notice to close an alleged crack house in Derby.

Officers raided the property in Balfour Road on Tuesday afternoon. A quantity of crack cocaine was recovered.

A woman will appear before South Derbyshire magistrates on Thursday accused of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

A man was also arrested during the operation. Derbyshire Police will apply for an initial three-month closure notice on the property at the hearing.

Insp Gary Parkin said: "This is the second time in recent months we have taken this sort of action.

"We were successful in gaining a closure order last month and that property remains closed. We are now seeking to achieve the same result for this property."
