Man arrested in cannabis raid
Cannabis plants
A "substantial" number of cannabis plants were recovered by police
A 59-year-old man has been arrested after a "substantial" number of cannabis plants were found in a house by police acting on a tip-off.

Officers raided the property on Bradley Road, Waltham, near Grimsby at 0910 BST on Thursday.

They found cannabis plants and items used in the production of the plants, a police spokesman said.

The man, from Grimsby, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply.

Inspector Brian Kelly said the raid was carried out in response to concerns raised by members of the local community.

"We are committed to tackling the supply of controlled substances and will act on any information provided to us.

"I encourage the public to continue to give us the information that enables us to take positive action," he added.
