The travellers moved from Abbey Fields on Tuesday evening |
A group of travellers ordered to leave a field in Worcestershire have moved - to the local council's car park. The travellers set up in Abbey Fields, Pershore, after they were evicted from their own land in Eckington, which they had developed without permission.
Wychavon District Council then issued an eviction notice ordering the group to leave the fields by Wednesday.
The travellers responded by setting up their latest camp outside the Civic Centre on Station Road in Pershore.
They are trying to persuade the council to find them a permanent home.

The authority served them with another eviction notice after they arrived at the Civic Centre on Tuesday evening, ordering them to leave the car park by 1000 BST on Wednesday.
The group has ignored the notice and the council's head of legal services Ian Marshall told BBC News that court action would now follow.
He said it was "good news" the travellers had left Abbey Fields, but added he was unhappy they had moved to the Civic Centre.
"What they are trying to do is reopen the issues relating to the Eckington site," Mr Marshall said.
"This issue was fully considered last October and also considered on three occasions at the High Court.
Children affected
"There's not much point in me sitting down and going through all the arguments about the Eckington site again."
A spokesperson for the travellers told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "They (the council) have moved us off of our own land, put 14 children out of school, and virtually telling us get out of our district.
"All we've asked for them to do is let us stay on us own land, let our children go to school, let us have some sort of rights."
The travellers had been at their site in Eckington for nearly a year, before moving to Pershore at the start of the month.
