Bag of wires causes airport alert
Bournemouth International Airport
The bag was found in the airport's main terminal building
An airport had to be evacuated and roads around it closed after a suspect package was found in the toilets.

The carrier bag with wires protruding from it was found in the main terminal building at Bournemouth Airport.

The terminal was immediately evacuated on Thursday morning but the bag was found to simply contain "discarded items", a Dorset Police spokesman said.

A spokeswoman for the airport urged passengers to be more thoughtful and to not leave bags unattended.

The airport is now operating as normal.
