Extra CCTV cameras to cut crime
An additional 10 CCTV cameras are to be installed in Bournemouth as part of a bid to crack down on crime and anti-social behaviour.

The cameras on Fir Vale Road are part of an upgrade of CCTV in the town.

The council said that over the last month at least seven arrests had been made and 15 fixed penalty notices issued with the help of the cameras.

Councillor Jean Moore said: "Our CCTV system plays a key role in ensuring the safety of Bournemouth."
