Plans to build nine 105-metre tall wind turbines in a rural Dorset valley will not go ahead. North Dorset District Council voted against the controversial proposal for the wind farm at Winterbourne Zelston at a meeting on Tuesday.
The decision follows a public consultation on the planning application by Your Energy Ltd.
Councillors said the level of interest was such they had allowed much wider public participation than usual.
