Coastguards say good weather has encouraged 'tombstoners' | South West coastguards are continuing to warn about the dangers of jumping off rocks into the sea despite making calls this week for people to stop. A man died in Torquay at the weekend after 'tombstoning' - diving off rocks and cliff faces at Ansteys Cove. Coastguards said continued good weather had seen more people risking injury by jumping into water from high places. Coastguards said they did not want to stop people having fun, but they must realise the dangers of the activity.
