Motorists are being warned to expect some disruption on the M1 in Derbyshire during work that starts in early May. The maintenance and resurfacing work on all three lanes of both sides of the motorway between junctions 29 and 30 begins on 4 May.
A 50mph speed limit will be in force and the 16-weeks project will take place mostly between 2100 and 0600.
During these hours there will be lane closures, contraflow and some traffic will use the hard shoulders.
During the final four weeks, there will be just a single lane available in one direction and three in the opposite direction.
