A bone marrow donor has been found for a 16-year-old girl who has leukaemia. Monika Mazlak from Stratford-on-Avon needs a transplant and following an appeal on BBC's Midlands Today and BBC WM, a Midlands donor has come forward.
Although he is compatible with Monica, it is not a 100% match, but the family want to go ahead with surgery in two weeks time.
A clinic was held at Warwick Hospital on Tuesday for people to be tested as potential donors.
Monika, who moved to Warwickshire from the US five years ago, was diagnosed as having acute myloid leukaemia in May last year and has been having chemotherapy.
