HMS Cornwall will return to its Devonport base in the summer |
HMS Cornwall has become the first British Naval Vessel to dock at a Naval base in Croatia. During her stay, the Type 22 frigate hosted a defence industry day.
The ship's commanding officer said it was an opportunity to demonstrate what the UK has to offer to the global defence industry.
As well as official duties, members of the Devonport-based ship's rugby and football teams have played against sides in Croatia.
When HMS Cornwall leaves Croatia, it will undertake maritime security operations in the northern Arabian Gulf, including the policing of shipping routes.
The ship is also tasked with protecting Iraqi offshore oil rigs.
HMS Cornwall is part of the Devonport Flotilla.
