Fast food hope to curb violence
Towan Beach
Locals have complained about anti-social behaviour at Towan
Fast food outlets in a Cornish resort could be allowed to stay open into the early hours.

Restormel council says it may curb violence in Newquay by giving people queuing for taxis something to do.

The move comes as two kebab shops in Falmouth are appealing against a decision to force them to close before local clubbers hit the streets.

The police say they have proof that the shops are a magnet for trouble, a claim strongly denied by the owners.

Police and the local authority in Newquay are also working together to end violence at Towan Beach where a dispersal order ,is in place from 27 May to 30 September.

The order gives police powers to remove people from the beach who they believe are causing a problem.
