Rescues prompt RNLI safety call
The RNLI says it is essential people using the county's beaches listen to the instructions of its lifeguards.

It says it has faced its busiest weekend so far this year, and the pressure on the service is not easing.

Sennen lifeboat had to rescue a swimmer from rocks off Pendeen after they got into difficulty on Monday afternoon.

Earlier five people had to be rescued from the sea off Gorran Haven by the Fowey lifeboat, when three men tried to rescue two children.

Fowey Lifeboats operations manager Sam Guy said: "It is essential people treat the sea with respect."
