Bus strike ballot is called off
Passenger getting onto a First Bus
Unions and management are both content with the agreement
Bus drivers have reached an agreement with First Bristol to avert a strike after some drivers were sacked for finishing their routes early.

The Transport & General Workers' Union and the firm's management said they were content with the result and would be working together to move on.

In a joint statement it said issues regarding dismissed drivers had been dealt with via existing procedures.

As a result the planned strike ballot had now been cancelled, it said.

After further discussions, unions and management said they would be reviewing processes to provide the best possible service to the public.
