Huge fire at pallet storage depot

Eighty firefighters tackled a blaze at a large pallet storage depot in Northamptonshire during the night.

Crews were called to Larner Pallets in Rixon Road, Wellingborough, at about 0130 BST on Sunday.

Pallets, six storage units and wood chippings were on fire and crews from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and UK Operational Support were called in.

"Eight fire engines, a control unit and an aerial ladder platform were used by the fire crews," a spokeswoman said.
