Witness appeal on warehouse fire

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fire in a Northamptonshire disused knife factory.

A Northamptonshire Fire Service spokesman said there were nine engines at the scene of the blaze in Shirley Road, Rushden, on Monday night.

The area, which includes a residential development, had to be evacuated.

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to the fire to come forward, and said the cause of the fire had yet to be determined.
