Upton-on-Severn was cut off in last weekend's floods |
Heavy and prolonged rainfall is expected across the West Midlands as the clear-up from last weekend's flooding continues. The Met Office has issued a warning of severe weather with up to 1in (3cm) of rain predicted from Saturday evening up until Sunday lunchtime.
It is thought Herefordshire will be the worst affected but the rain is expected to fall across the region.
Between six to nine hours of rain can be expected in any one place.
The early weather warning covers Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Telford and the Wrekin, Birmingham and the Black Country, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Residents are urged to beware of flash flooding and of river levels quickly rising due to the already saturated ground.
