Asian film-making skills are to be taught to youngsters |
Film-makers are hoping to bring a touch of Bollywood to Slough - and transform it into the UK home of the Asian film industry. It is hoped that four new productions will be shot in the town to encourage youngsters to follow a career in Indian film-making.
Techniques and styles taught to the would-be film-makers will take their inspiration from the great Indian films.
Organisers say the project will also have a hint of "Bombay Dreams", with music to be developed by artistes from the London Philharmonic Orchestra along with South Asian musicians.
Each film will explore four basic human emotions.
Young people from five local schools will be taking part in the project, with pupils aged from nine to 16 years old.
Extracts from the films will be presented at a showcase in Slough itself in May.
