Rail delays on Thameslink
Thameslink train at Bedford station
Replacement buses will take passengers to Bedford
Commuters in Bedfordshire are facing long delays on many Thameslink train services.

Overhead power lines between Bedford and Flitwick have come down, forcing trains to stop at Flitwick.

Thameslink says the problem is unlikely to be fixed before midday on Wednesday.

The lines were brought down by the pantograph on a train - the gear which touches the overhead line.

A series of measures to help passengers is in place.

Replacement buses are being provided between Flitwick and Bedford.

Services from London to Luton will start at Moorgate.

London Underground, Silverlink and WAGN trains will accept Thameslink tickets on appropriate routes.

Passengers are advised to visit the Thameslink website for travel updates.
