Ainsworth on civilian casualties: 'One is too many'

Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth has said it is "fundamental" that civilian casualties are kept to an absolute minimum, during the latest Nato military operation in Afghanistan.

Operation Moshtarak is designed to force Taliban militants from an area surrounding the town of Marja in Helmand province.

Mr Ainsworth made the remarks while giving evidence to the Commons Defence Committee.
