The family of Akmal Shaikh have said they are "disgusted" at Chinese authorities over their decision to execute him on drug smuggling charges.
Mr Shaikh had denied any wrongdoing and his family said he was mentally ill.
The 53-year-old was convicted and put to death by lethal injection, although the British government claim to have provided evidence of his health issues to Chinese authorities.
Speaking at Heathrow Airport after arriving back in the UK from China, Akmal Shaikh's cousin, Nasir Shaikh, said the family were angry with the decision not to make a "proper medical assessment".
