Would you take advantage of the government's car scrappage scheme? |
The government's car scrappage scheme, to try to kick start demand in the UK's beleaguered car market, begins on Monday. Do you have a question about the scheme? Under the plan, if your car is at least 10 years old you can scrap it, in return for a discount of £2,000 on a new car. Similar schemes have already been introduced in many other parts of Europe. In Germany sales increased by forty per cent after the scheme was launched. On Monday 18 May the BBC News Channel will answer your questions about the car scrappage scheme. How good a deal is it for customers here? Do you know how to claim the cash? Is the discount enough?
