The BBC has reiterated its apology to the actor Andrew Sachs for the content of calls made to him by Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross.
Tim Davie, Director of Audio and Music offered "an unreserved apology" to the actor and his family.
Mr Davie said he was personally leading an investigation in to the incident and appropriate action would be taken.
The BBC has received over 10 thousand complaints about the calls broadcast on Brand's Radio 2 show on 18th October.
Ofcom has also launched an investigation following a string of complaints.
