Safe Hands Seaman drops partner
David Seaman
Seaman has appeared alongside Kelly Holmes on the ITV show
Former England goalkeeper David Seaman, known in his footballing days for his safe hands, has again dropped his TV ice dancing partner.

Arsenal and England legend Seaman, was spinning Pam O'Connor while rehearsing a manoeuvre before ITV1's Dancing On Ice show went on air.

O'Connor, who required stitches for a gash to her chin, had only returned to action last week after he fell on her.

Athlete Kelly Holmes was eliminated after a skate-off with Bonnie Langford.

Seaman and O'Connor were allowed to progress through to the next round of the competition without having to skate this week. A show spokeswoman said that fellow contestants had been consulted and agreed that was the fairest solution.

After O'Connor's previous injury, Seaman had to perform on one show with stand-in partner, Russian skating champion Natalia Petrova, but he sent her sprawling when he lost his balance during a complicated routine.

He later said he was taking ballet lessons to improve his technique on the ice.

Seaman said of his dance partner: "Pam is not too good. She has quite a few stitches under her chin and her shoulder is not as bad as first thought."
