Beach huts people are allowed to sleep in are rare, Mrs Maxwell says

The hut, at Mudeford Sandbank, Dorset, offers panoramic seaside views and has solar power, a gas cooker and gas fridge, water tank and portable toilet.

Owner Michelle Maxwell said: "I agree it's mad but there's hardly anywhere left where you can get a hut which you can sleep in."

A beach hut with views over Poole Bay but no facilities sold for �100,000 earlier this week.

Mrs Maxwell and her husband Gordon bought their hut, between Christchurch Harbour and Christchurch Bay with views to the Isle of Wight, eight years ago.

She said: "Logically it doesn't make sense to ask that kind of price but when you are down there you fall in love with the place in a different way.

"On the one side it's the sea and the other is Christchurch harbour.

"You leave your car in the car park and you leave the other world behind. It's something different."
